Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Amir Kiyani and five various delegations called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.
Talking to them, Sarwar said that being Kashmiris’ ambassador, Prime Minister Imran Khan had brought Kashmir issue, which was put under the carpet, to UN Security Council, European Parliament and the rest of the global forums.
Regional peace hinges at settlement of Kashmir issue as per self-determination of Kashmiris. Government believes in rule of law, constitution, and transparency. Government is strengthening all the institutions including judiciary and there will be no hurdle in dispensation of justice. He was talking to PTI Secretary General Amir Kiyani, former AJK minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Mukhtar Ahmed Jaral, Sikh delegation from Nankana Sahib and a delegation of Multan Bar Association and other delegations here at Governor House.
Sarwar said that international media is also highlighting Indian terrorism in occupied Kashmir to the world. It is hoped that US President Donald Trump shall also talk to Narendra Modi regarding atrocities being meted out to people of occupied Kashmir and Indian Muslims. Because, tension in the region cannot be ended and peace is impossible until Kashmir issue is not resolved. Today, all peace-loving people are talking about Kashmir issue due to successful diplomatic efforts. He said that lawyers’ community always has eminent role in supremacy of law and government is fulfilling its responsibilities pertaining to provision of speedy and inexpensive justice, citing that violence and injustice can be eliminated through timely and inexpensive justice. Federal and Punjab governments are taken measures to resolve the problems being faced by the lawyers. He said, “We believe in strong institutions and transparency. Today the government is ensuring protection to lives and properties of minorities including Sikh, and there is no such precedence in world as much freedom being enjoyed by minority communities in Pakistan.” Country is faced with economic and many other challenges, however effective and practical steps are being taken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to do away with challenges, and country’s affairs are improving day by day.
