LAHORE: Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that corrupt politicians are worse to the country than ‘hidden snakes’.
“Without de-rooting corruption in the society, Pakistan can’t progress and move ahead. Country extremely needs an honest person like Imran Khan. Bad governance is the major cause of all national evils, including load shedding, corruption, terrorism, absence of basic facilities of health and education, in the country,” Sarwar said.
He said that Pakistan must become a developmental democracy and must annihilate the systematic repugnant in the way of progress by eradicating corruption. “World history teaches a lesson, ‘no corrupt country has ever enjoyed the prestige and honour in global community.’”
The PTI leader added that corruption is an obstacle in evolution of the country. From Iraq to Somalia extending from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, financial injustice and corruption always play as reverse agent and negative catalyst in the economic upheaval of country.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar was addressing the celebration ceremony conducted to celebrate the victory in Lahore Cant bye elections. PTI Lahore chapter President Waleed Iqbal, GS Hammad Azhar, and Information Secretary Sheikh Imtiaz Ahmed were also present at occasion.
“PTI has become most popular public political party because party has been fighting for fundamental rights of common people. Pakistani people will succeed in unprecedented war on corruption being fought under the dynamic leadership of IK,” Waleed Iqbal said.
He added that PTI deserves credit because they altered the political culture of Pakistan by raising awareness and public mobility against the corruption.
