The Health Services Academy (HSA) has signed a memorandum of understating (MoU) with Rahmat Foundation, USA, in order to enhance faculty development of health care professionals and medical students. Vice Chancellor of the HSA Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, and Chairman of the Foundation Dr. Ghulam Qadir signed the MoU while Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Islamabad General Secretary Dr. Mubasher Mushtaq Daha, who was a key supporter and stakeholder in making this development, Chairman Talim Foundation Dr. Zafar Iqbal and others also participated in the event. As per MoU, both institutions will provide support to each other in the field of medicine as the Foundation to provide training of medical teachers in America, training of medical students, and other facilities. Moreover, the promotion of mutual cooperation between the two institutions was also part of the agenda. Besides this, the Rehmat Foundation will provide support in establishing an understanding with various medical universities in America and Dr. Mubasher Hanif has been declared as a focal person to make the best arrangements to enhance the core purpose of the plan. The Rehmat Foundation is a charitable organization organized as a Michigan nonprofit corporation whose goals included improving the healthcare of Pakistani residents by enhancing medical education through virtual lectures, case conferences, and medical services for students and connecting professionals and institutions in Pakistan with their counterparts in the United States.
